How to make your airport visit less stressful

Everyone loves going on vacation, but with so much to think about, the prepping phase can be less than enjoyable, especially when it comes to heading to the airport. Also, packing light will save you time and stress at the airport. If you don’t need to check in a larger bag, you’ll be through security in no time – giving you more time to find your gate and relax.

Thoughts such as “what metal am I hiding?” and “did someone pack something into my bag while I wasn’t looking?” often run through peoples’ minds.

Even if you’re not checking in a larger bag, ditch the liquids and buy them when you get there. No matter where you’re going, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel aren’t going to cost a lot, and without these in your carry-on bag, you have much less to worry about when walking through security.

Taking your own car means you can pack everything away the night before and set off whenever you want. Not to mention taking your own car can be a lot easier when traveling with kids!

The great thing about taking your own car is that you can pre-book Orlando airport parking online or search for the airport you’re going to. Then you can rest assure you will be able to find a spot stress-free, that your car is safe during your travels, and you have plenty of time to get to your gate number.

Avoid getting hangry on your journey, and eat before you set off. Not matter what time your flight is, grab a bit to eat at home or in the airport so that you know you’ve eaten before take-off.

With these simple tips, your flight will be plain sailing. With plenty of preparation, you can make your trip to the airport much less stressful and even have time to score some duty-free goodies.
