4 Things You Have To Look Forward To After Giving Birth

After you’ve gone nine full months of pregnancy, you’re likely desperate to finally give birth. Besides having a baby, there are plenty of more things to look forward to. From getting your figure back, to finally being able to eat the off-limits foods you weren’t able to indulge in, it’s an exciting time to get back to!

Whether you’ve just found out you’re pregnant, or you’re about to give birth, here are a few of the things you can look forward to once you’re done with your pregnancy.

Getting Your Waist Back

Although it’s lovely to feel your baby moving inside of your belly, by the time you hit the third-trimester, chances are you’re getting tired of feeling like a human beach ball. After giving birth, your stomach doesn’t immediately shrink back down to its original size, however gradually, you’ll start to see your waist come back again.

Maternity clothes can be fun, but let’s face it, your real clothes are much more enjoyable to wear. The closer you get to regaining your pre-pregnancy body, the better you’ll start to feel in your own skin. However, be patient with your process.

It took you nine months to reach the size you are when you give birth, and it’s not unreasonable to wait about the same amount of time until you lose it.

Drinking Coffee

Although many doctors agree that one small cup of coffee a day is harmless during your pregnancy, it’s hardly recommended to drink cup after cup like many people do when they’re not pregnant.

If you’re the kind of person that loves their trips to Starbucks throughout the week, chances are you’re looking forward to getting back to that lifestyle. In addition to coffee, you can also enjoy big carbonated drinks with caffeine that you may have taken it for granted before.

Sleeping On Your Stomach

Most people don’t realize how much they love sleeping on their stomachs until they aren’t able to do it anymore. When you’re pregnant, it’s difficult to find a position to sleep in. Some women suffer considerable back pain and pressure on their hips in the third trimester.

After you give birth, you will be able to spread out while you sleep in any position that your heart desires.

No More Heartburn

Some people don’t know the misery of heartburn until they’ve gotten pregnant. Heartburn is a common symptom throughout pregnancy and can make you feel very uncomfortable. No longer will you have to keep a bottle of antacids on hand at all times. Soon you’ll be able to eat a normal meal without having to worry about the pain that comes afterward.
